Education is a journey from self to society. At GNDU College Patti, we follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Guru Sahib’s saying “ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ||” emphasizes that education is not merely for accumulating information but for cultivating wisdom for the betterment of humanity. Information becomes wisdom only when it is applied to solve problems, alleviate sufferings or uplift the community. The successful life is one that is useful for others. Guru Nanak Dev University College, Patti believes in holistic approach to education as education plays a key role in the overall development of the society. The fee of GNDU College Patti is very less as compared to other private colleges. T his college is a coeducation college which makes our young mind develops mutual respect between genders and prepares them for real life situations. Over the past year, our College has witnessed remarkable achievements from the ground breaking research conducted by our faculty to the outstanding performances of our students, artists and athletes. NSS and NCC give boost to the students in their overall performance. Teacher’s day, Science day, Haryali day, Lohri etc. are also celebrated through various competitions. Apart from this, full efforts are made to promote sports.

About the College
Guru Nanak Dev University College, Patti was established as a constituent college of Guru Nanak Dev University in 2012. It is a co-educational college. The administrative functioning of the college is regulated by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
With the changing time, the efforts started in the direction of providing higher education to the residents of this region. Consequently, a Government college was started at Patti in 1969. Initially the classes are held in the Government Senior Secondary School, Patti. The construction of building of the college was completed by 1973 and the first batch started in 1973-74. This college is situated on the Patti-Sarhali road. The total area of the college is 28 acres. Out of this, 8 acres has been given to the stadium of the Sports College. The college has an 'H' shaped double storey building. College has a well furnished administrative block, well stacked library with rich collection of books. There is a hostel also along with the college. The motive behind establishing this college was to provide higher education to the students of rural, backward and border region. It provided benefit to the area tremendously in terms of education but it failed to fulfill the needs of changing scenario due to lack of new professional and vocational courses and deficiency of staff. Due to these reasons, students from this region had to move to other cities to acquire higher education. The students and people of this region demanded to upgrade this college as per the needs of the time. This college has come under the management/administration of the University from the session 2012-13 as one of its constituent college. Guru Nanak Dev University has named it Guru Nanak Dev University College, Patti. Under the administration of GNDU, College is achieving its goals & providing quality education to this area
The constituent colleges were set up to bring higher education within the reach of the people of remote rural areas, so that maximum benefit reaches the less privileged and the needy. The college will scale new heights under the able guidance of Dr. Karamjeet Singh, the present Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University.
The College is covered under the 2(F) & 12(B) scheme of the UGC. As a result, it is entitled to receive financial support from the Central government, the government of Punjab and the UGC. The teaching fraternity of college is highly qualified and dedicated who constantly strive for their growth as well as for the holistic development of their students.
